Calendar of Events

ReikiPartners is a group of Reiki practitioners who gather together to share Reiki with each other and to offer Reiki to others in need. If you are interested in experiencing Reiki, or are a Reiki practitioner who would like to join with others in giving and receiving Reiki please attend one of our meetings.

We welcome all levels of practitioners including novices. We feel our sharings are both stimulating and beneficial to our individual and mutual health.

We typically meet for Reiki Sharing 2-4 pm on the second Saturday and 7-9 pm on the fourth Thursdays of each month. Meetings are held at the Center for Integrative Medicine, 908 New Hampshire Ave., Suite 200, Washington, DC 20037. See the calendar below for specific dates.

Reiki Training

REIKI ONE

Reiki Level One training is the basic course level instruction to start your Reiki practice, to learn Reiki for self care and for the care of family and friends. Each session is scheduled according to your needs. There is both group instruction and individual instruction. A group class is held on two Saturday meetings of three hours each. Individual instruction is made through appointment with Luann Jacobs at the Center for Integrative Medicine.

The cost of the group class is $150 per person. The text for the course, The Spirit of Reiki by Walter Lubeck, et al. You can purchase the book from Amazon by clicking through from our Suggesting Readings page. (Note: Purchases made by going through ReikiPartners will help support maintenance of the website.

The date for the second session will be determined at this first meeting to fit the schedules of those participating.

REIKI TWO

The second level of Reiki, called Reiki Two, is an advanced practice of Reiki, transcending hands on, or local Reiki. Reiki Two students learn to send Reiki energy over time and distance through thought transference. Any Level One Reiki graduate may pursue their Reiki training with Reiki Two. What is learned in Reiki Two empowers your hands-on practice and adds the non-local dimension to the practice of Reiki. Reiki Two is learned in three sessions, approximately three hours each. The cost is $250.

REIKI THREE

The third level of Reiki, called Reiki Three, is also known as the Master Level. This is the most advanced level of Reiki training. This training follows completion of Reiki One and Reiki Two, and it requires an intention on the part of the student to want to teach and attune others in the Reiki system of natural healing. Master level training requires a one-year commitment.

REIKI PRACTICUM

If you feel you could benefit from practice giving and receiving Reiki in a supervised session, join us for a one-on-one experience one Saturday each month. You and a partner will each give and receive a one-hour Reiki treatment. Luann will provide demonstration and supervision. The cost is $25.00, and this fee is donated to our not-for-profit Health Partners to support our CAM Cancer program. There are 8 slots available in each session. 202-833-5055.

HOSPITAL REIKI VOLUNTEERS

The George Washington Center for Integrative Medicine and ReikiPartners are now providing Reiki volunteers for George Washington University Hospital. We are actively seeking Reiki practitioners who would like to volunteer Reiki in the hospital setting. Prospective Reiki Volunteers follow an application and credentialing process.
