About ReikiPartners

Our Mission

We are a group of Reiki practitioners who meet regularly at the Center for Integrative Medicine, one block
from the Foggy Bottom Metro stop, on the GW Campus, Washington, D.C. The purpose of our meetings is
to share Reiki with each other. We welcome those new to Reiki, and those who practice other healing modalities.

By meeting regularly we are assisting others and ourselves in developing the full use of Reiki for wellness and
for healing from acute and chronic life and health events. We find our sharings both stimulating and beneficial
to our individual and mutual health.
We also offer Reiki sessions to friends, and families as an added support while they are undergoing conventional
and/or alternative health treatments. Reiki often assists everyone involved to achieve higher functioning in some
aspect of life -- physical, mental, emotional or spiritual.
If you are interested in experiencing Reiki, or are a Reiki practitioner who would like to join us in giving and receiving
Reiki, please attend one of our meetings.
ReikiPartners also offers training and certification in all levels of the Usui System of Reiki. These classes are held
at the Center for Integrative Medicine. The Center is dedicated to creating a healing environment in which patients
have access to a variety of complementary and alternative therapies to promote healing and wellness.
Luann Jacobs, Founder of ReikiPartners, is on the staff of the Center, which provides space for our events. In addition,
programs and projects of the Center often provide opportunities for ReikiPartners members to volunteer their services.
For information on group meetings and activities, see our Calendar page.

at the Center. In the Spring of 2004, ReikiPartners, in conjunction with George Washington Hospital and the Center
for Integrative Medicine, provided over 90 Reiki sessions to nurses to help honor them during Nurse Appreciation Week.
In 2004, Luann and the group have also introduced Reiki into GW Hospital’s Cardiac Catheterization Lab to assist
patient relaxation prior to this diagnostic procedure. It is the goal of the GW Hospital and The Center for Integrative
Medicine to integrate CAM practices within mainstream medicine to assist patients achieve the best possible
outcome … the best medicine.
